Hi, sorry to bother you with this, but I can't understand why the app seems to use internet so much. As you can see from the images below the app downloaded and uploaded a lot of data, but I can't find any reason why. The first image is from settings page (I disabled data permission after I saw the amount of data exchanged), the second is from an app called "App Manager". I use Lineage 18.1 (Android 11) with magisk. Thanks in advance for any answer and for your work.

Could use some instructions on this one. Perhaps I understood it all wrong but I believe what this app is for is to wipe phone with a duress password using for example wasted.

I have filled In the following:

Action: me.lucky.wasted.action.TRIGGER Receiver : me.lucky.wasted/.CodeReceiver Authentication code: the code in wasted , have tried both with and without code before and the "" characters Password length: not sure what to put here, have tried many different numbers and then entered that amount of characters on the lock screen

(Wasted is activated with all permissions )

Perhaps I got it all wrong and this is not how you should do

It'd be great to have more info on how to make this work.

Currently I haven't been able to see a broadcast message come out of this app and don't want to test with wiping my device.

Also, the readme has 'Wasted' in it and an example config, but it's not clear what the config is expected to do.

Hello, I am a new user of duress app. I have checked previous issues, but here I am not sure if my configuration sets correctly. The duress test works, but when I try to enter a 6 PIN on the lock screen, I can still unlock my phone with fingerprint and there is no broadcast of duress or wasted and the wrong password cannot trigger forced PIN unlocking method. I used this method to check in my Android 9 phone, same problem. The screenshots of my configuration shows below: Please help me... Device: Pixel 5, running stock Android 13 App version: Duress 1.0.9, Wasted 1.5.9 Duress Accessibility enabled, Wasted Device admin enabled. My regular PIN is 4 digit.

Hi, Love the recent updates but just wanted to know since you can change the secret code and the device listens for that before wiping if it senses that word if you can now possibly add a duress password wipe whereby if it senses on the lockscreen a certain combinations of words or numbers are entered that it triggers the device to wipe?

At the moment with Duress it just senses a limit of characters for this but if you could actually implement a proper duress password wipe it would be amazing!

For the case someone want to force me to unlock my Device via Fingerprint, I would love to be able to wipe it by using just another Finger than the one i to unlock normally. E.g.: Lets say i use the Indexfinger to unlock to usw the device normal. I would use the Middlefinger to wipe the device (when locked) . Is this possible ?

And when I want to give Accessibility permission I get this message :

if I understand correctly we will have to go through a store to install the application?

When paired with Wasted installed in Shelter (assuming https://github.com/x13a/Wasted/issues/37 gets solved, that is), Duress is meant to be installed in a personal profile, as opposed to the work one, and so it doesn't get deleted by Wasted. I guess I can somehow explain having Shelter on my phone to the police (I needed it for work but never bothered to properly set it up), but not having an app that is literally used to wipe data on your phone. Is it possible to make Duress delete itself when triggered?

Hi, I've tested this out multiple times. If you setup duress I set it for say 15 character wipe then go to the lock screen and say your password is 1234 but you enter 987654321 then x to backspace and delete the wrong combo entered followed by your password 1234 I think it counts the back spaces as a part of the key inputs and therefore starts to wipe the phone altogether.

This does not occur if you enter say 987654321 hold the X key or backspace and then enter password only if you tap on the x to delete the wrong input followed by the correct input.

Can this please be fixed?

I have followed the instructions here an in other issues but I am still not getting any results when I put in an incorrect password 2 digits greater than my current password. I am able to use my fingerprint reader to open immediately after. I am not sure if there are additional accessibility settings or Google services I should change or revise but would appreciate any and all help.

I am running OneUI5 on Fold4. I previously had this working on my OnePlus 7pro on LineageOS.

Sorry for the possibly stupid question (this is my first time on github), I have a 12 android and I'm trying to use Duress along with Wasted. According to the test everything works fine, but when I reboot the device, I can't figure out if Duress is enabled when I start the system. I tried turning on test mode, and rebooting the phone and then getting Duress to work, but that was to no avail (but without rebooting everything works). The most interesting thing is that when I turn Duress on and start switching between partitions it shuts down Apart from my problem, it would be nice to add a notification when Duress runs in the background

When trying to toggle off/on switch in app, when accessibility displays, Duress is off and greyed out. If try to tap Duress in accessibility settings, message pops up "Restricted setting.. For your security, this setting is currently unavailable"

Same no matter what tab, broadcast, wipe or test.

Seems like its impossible to activate app under any circumstances unless I am missing something here?

I've improved & updated russian strings at Crowdin a while ago, please release a new version.

Great app, I imagine a lot of people in Russia might need it.
