Clean Status Bar

Tired of Photoshopping out notifications/low battery to make a nice, clean status bar for the Play Store? Run this app first - it draws over your status bar, showing only a full battery and clock.

It runs as a service, so you can swap to other apps to take screenshots.

App available here or in Releases

Use the ToggleReceiver to enable/disable Clean Status Bar programmatically, e.g. to automate taking screenshots.

    History:

    On December 16, 1773 a group of forward-thinking individuals bravely boarded a docked boat in the Boston Harbor in what would become the first step of a long but successful fight against tyranny. These men bravely disguised themselves as the local natives, a group of people that had been and would continue to be persecuted, robbed and slaughtered in the name of whatever was convenient at the moment but I'm American and we're not good at dealing with shame so let's skip this part, okay?

    Anyway, the men in the harbor smashed crates of tea and dumped them into the water. They did this because Americans refuse to be taxed without representation and also because the only thing we suck through our teeth is SpaghettiOs sauce and maybe a 64 oz Mountain Dew.

    Later, these men would craft the most important document that modern Americans are willing to die for but never actually read: The Declaration of Independence. It's a little-known fact that the first revision of this document was a vulgar sketch of the King with the caption "U SUK!". The sketch and the caption wouldn't survive, but they lived on in spirit. Early Americans associated the letter U (from the caption) with King George and thus, tyranny. They decided to exorcise all unnecessary U's from the written language. The result would be that Americans could have favorite colors, but never favourite colours. dont-tread-300

    Hi,

    I know your project is called clean-status-bar but I have to admit, it would be awsome to include the navigation bar as well. I've got an HTC One (M7) and this device doesn't come with a Navigation bar (and it's not the only one).

    So maybe your app could be renamed to something more generic like : cleaned-system-bars I don't want to force you to do it, but I've already do it on my fork, so if you appreciate this work, feel free to accept the pull request ;)

    I've also added some fixes:

    • use strings resources for preference keys
    • disabled status for your ColourPreference
    • better managment of preference dependencies
    • moar default colors
    • uk specific language

    This PR replaces java plugin for travis with the new android language plugin. The documentation states that the new plugin is still in beta, but I have been using it for quite a few projects without any problems since the beginning of the year

    The sole motivation behind this PR is to reduce the verbosity of the travis file.

    It was not a good practice to store the keys for the shared prefs at two places (prefs.xml and mainactivity). Now the keys are only stored at one place - in a separate string-file.
