The CPU/GPU frequency settings bootup restoration didn't work for me, so I played around with the bootup code a bit and noticed that the process got aborted if root WAS present. This is probably how the root check should have been.

It is not necessary to bring the CPU core offline then online each time a preference change is made. It's currently being done on governor change and min/max frequency change.

This behavior is problematic on the Galaxy Tab 10.1 a.k.a. p7510/p7500 a.k.a. p4wifi/p4. It's uses a kernel based on Linux 3.1.10 and hotplugging is completely broken for this device. Taking a cores offline and online will crash the kernel.

I think this behavior is overkill anyways. I pretty sure it's not a requirement of the cpufreq interface to hotplug the cores like this.

This line throws a java.lang.NumberFormatException: Invalid int: "XXXX MHz". Sometimes this causes the min/max frequencies to change when they shouldn't.

The reason for that should be pretty obvious; can't make a PR right now, but I can do so later if needed.

Using this app is very inefficient on small screens, and there are currently some huge layout issues.

1. Lists (like Device Info) have far too much vertical padding. I didn't check, but I think standard ListView height would be better for it.
2. Unrelated, but don't use system icons unless using the Gingerbread theme.The search icon is gray, the other icons are white.
3. In the App List, disabled apps are gray, but with the padding/shadow grayed too.
4. Text is cut off. On small screens, it's one thing scrolling through a 72dp list item with multiple lines and another thing scrolling through blank padding.

I've noticed 2 small issues with the flasher:

1. Sometimes the material + button doesn't render on the bottom right of the screen but it goes on top of the "Select your recovery variant"

2. When pressing that button, in the Recent files if you long press an item you can press on Open and it should select it but it doesn't work with DeviceControl, the workaround is to use another source from the "Open from" navigation menu.

Hi, currently i'm using this awesome app, all the functions are runing well expect the fast charge. I really want to try this feature, but i dont know how to do to enable it , any advice would be appreciate. i have namless rom compiled for redmi 1s aka armani

the problem is i can get the clock speeds set properly if i have no other app that controls clock speeds or which tweaks with the cpu

u set the clock speeds at 1.6 Ghz it also clocks down to 1.4Ghz automatically

same goes for governors n i/o

lock freq n governor does not do the trick too i clear app data n reset the device control install Trickster mod n it works with it

I'd like to suggest adding dt2w and s2w support.

The relevant files for faux kernel are in /sys/android_touch:

doubletap2wake doubletap2wake_version s2w_s2sonly sweep2wake

They are all toggles 0/1.

Alternatively I'd suggest adding a full /sys/ editor to let the user manage unsupported settings. Some tuners allow to add custom settings to the app by choosing the relevant sys file.
