Overview

APG (Android Privacy Guard)

APG originally brought email encryption to the Android platform.

In recent years the project has fallen asleep, but a lot of great work has been done in OpenKeychain, which is a fork of APG and it has a much more active and well managed development community.

I recommend using OpenKeychain and to post any feature requests on their github repository. Bugs in the APG app likely have been fixed there already.

I'm going to close all issues on this repository. Thank you for the support and interest in APG!

  • PGPSignatureList before PGPLiteralData

    PGPSignatureList before PGPLiteralData

    There is a problem decrypting messages sent from a blackberry phone with PGP Universal Server.

    There is no error or exception, but the message always comes out blank. Messages sent from a blackberry have a PGPSignatureList block before PGPLiteralData and because of this the execution never reaches PGPLiteralData code block to read the actual message text.

    This is a quick fix that skips the signature block. Its probably not a proper fix, but at least I can see the message text now.
