    I tested turbo-editor with a file containing 10,000 lines and it turns out that, when switching to the third page (and many others), the line number was not updated. Now, it's showing the correct line number.

    Hey! You shamelessly ignored my previous PRs, so I assumed it might be the size. To small to pay attention.

    So here I present you the MEGA PR:

    1. Removing AsyncTask
    2. Converting a bunch of files to Kotlin
    3. Updating dependencies, getting rid of redundant ones.
    4. Using material components
    5. Using androidx, including the ViewModel.
    6. Using coroutines to save and open files.
    7. Update minSdk to 21.

    Hope you'll like it, I appreciate having a nice cozy tool for syntax highlight and want it to be up to date :)

    Currently, turbo edit doesn't build with JDK 8 and none of the modern toolsets support or will work with JDK 7 anymore. This commit makes it build with JDK 8.

  • "Replace all" bug fix

    "Replace all" disregards the "Regular expression" checkbox and always treats the search string as a regular expression.

    Initial file contents: aaa. bbb. ccc.

    Find -> Text to find: ".", Regular expression unchecked, check Replace, Text to replace: "x" -> Find -> Replace all

    Result: xxxx xxxx xxxx

    Refactor Member Ignoring Method smell in Shell class

    Hi, I'm Emanuele Iannone, a master student at University of Salerno. Since my bachelor's thesis I have been working on a code smell refactoring plugin called aDoctor, which is able to identify and fix energy-related problems in Android apps. I launched it on your project, finding different instances of code smells. I chose one of them and let the plugin automatically fix it. In this case I chose Member Ignoring Method, that is present when a non static method does not use at all instance variables and other non static methods. These kind of smell may have a non trivial impact on energy consumption, as shown in this paper: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0950584918301678. Besides, this kind of refactoring does not impact on the functionalities of your app, so it is totally safe. Let me know if you are interested in this refactoring proposal.
