Is there a way to change the download folder/location? My internal memory is very limited, so I'd like to download TV shows to a folder an the external SD card.

Hello, I started a few downloads from the Mediathek. Some of them are not downloaded fully and I can't stop the download in zapp. It says "Download läuft..." and when I click on stop, nothing happens. I already cleared the cache of zapp, Downloads and Download Manager, rebooted the phone. Any ideas?

Actually shows in mediathekview that will release in future are not shown in zapp. Mediathekview Web has a seperate filter option to show this mediathek items.

Examples are Terra X shows of ZDF that come online before thay are in linear tv...

It would be nice to also find future shows in zapp. Maybe Zapp need to get a complete filter function?

using lineage 7.1.2 live streams work mediathek does not message: your device is unable to establish an encrypted connection to server, it might help to update your android version. strange thing, because mediathek has worked after first install, but suddenly it stopped???

On two LineageOS devices I could reproduce this error: Scroll down in the media center (Mediathek) and the last item you see is ~3 hours ago. At the end of the list an orange bar at the top appears claiming you have a network/connection error, which is obviously a wrong statement.

This only happens sometimes. When trying to reproduce it right now, it strangely worked.

The Streams of ARD ONE, MDR Sachsen and all NDR flavours do not work and the error message "Das Video konnte nicht geladen werden. Vielleicht besteht keine Internet-Verbindung oder das Video ist in deinem Land nicht verfügbar." is shown instead after a couple of seconds. This behaviour has been checked for the foss-versions 1.8.1, 1.8.0 and 1,7,2.

Today I installed Zapp 6.1.0 on my Fire TV. While it clearly is not optimized for TV use, it works pretty well. The only thing that really is preventing a good TV full screen experience is the fact that the top bar (with back, title, share, info, settings) is staying on the screen all the time. I have not found any way to hide it. If it would hide after 10 or 15 seconds (and reappar on any input), it would be perfectly suited for Fire TV already as it is.

Perhaps this small change could be given some consideration until the Android TV project is ready?

I am using Zapp to browse the mediathek and share the stream with kodi through the Kodi remote app. In version 6 the stream does not start if i share any stream with Kodi. It works in V4 .

My workflow: Open Zapp on my smartphone Search for a stream Click share with Select ,share with kodi' Then the Kodi remote app sends the stream url to kodi for playback on a raspberry pi.

Dazu darf die Swipe-Funktion zum Senderwechsel nicht mehr am Rand funktionieren, damit der Zurück-Swipe von Android 10 am linken und rechten Rand der App funktioniert.

To avoid the need for new releases when a URL changes or a new one is added (channels.json history) and the delay at F-Droid, I suggest to download the channels.json from the web and cache it as a fallback.

I offer you to use the same infrastructure I use for MVW and the "Filmliste Verteiler" for MV. That would be a S3 Storage paired with a self-hosted CDN over multiple servers.

I can't open the Mediathek anymore. It opens with an error message which is (translated from German) "Your device cannot establish a secure connection to the server. Probably it helps to update your Android system." This happens on my phone Moto G4 and on my tablet Mediapad T3. Both on Android 7. I am a little bit worried that I have not found anything about that here. Greetings Sebastian

In playback mode "picture-in-picture" the button "Play / Pause" does not react. The window must first be maximised to normal size again for the button reacts again.

Is it possible to differentiate the error message? If the media library cannot be loaded, this can have various causes and does not necessarily have to be the user's fault.

In the current case, the problem is presumably on the server side, as mediathekviewweb.de is also not accessible. Live streaming with ZAPP, on the other hand, is possible.

In my opinion, a more precise message would help less experienced computer or Internet users.

Disconnecting my Bluetooth buds causes the stream to reset. Stream just shows black screen and you lose the position.

I would expect that it just gets paused.

Installed the latest version from FDroid on my TV (with Android).

It seems that installed on TV the app looks different. It has a few drawbacks:

• there are to less information about a movie/show: I can't see which season it is (example "Another monday")
• I can't open a menu (so for sort channels)

What I didn't undertstand that some of the braodcasterser (SWR) doesn't work on TV but work on phone But in general - a great app! Thanks for that.

Edit: Found that season nr is missed on Web/Phone too. But at least there you can get additional info.

Android 13 was released a few weeks ago. Icons should follow Material You since then.

To implement material icons, see: https://developer.android.com/develop/ui/views/launch/icon_design_adaptive Signal, VLC, OrganicMaps and other apps already support this feature, so I think it would be great if zapp would support it too.
